Jane Pauley is an American broadcast journalist whose television career has spanned more than five decades. She spent 13 years as co-host of NBC’s Today, later co-anchored Dateline NBC, and since 2016 has served as anchor of CBS News Sunday Morning. She has received numerous journalism awards, including multiple Emmys and a 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. [1]

Career and work

Pauley began her national television career in 1976 when she joined NBC’s Today as co-host, a role she held for 13 years. She later co-anchored Dateline NBC and hosted several other NBC programs, including Real Life with Jane Pauley and The Jane Pauley Show. [1]

In 2016, she became anchor of CBS News Sunday Morning, succeeding Charles Osgood. Over the course of her career, Pauley has interviewed major political, cultural and entertainment figures and has received multiple Emmy Awards, a Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Journalism, and a 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
