Johnny Manziel is a former professional football quarterback who became the first freshman to win the Heisman Trophy while playing for Texas A&M. He was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft and played two seasons in the NFL. [2][3]
Career and work
At Texas A&M, Manziel became one of the most prominent players in college football. In 2012, he recorded an SEC-record 4,600 yards of total offense and became the first freshman to win the Heisman Trophy. He returned for the 2013 season before entering the NFL Draft. [2]
The Cleveland Browns selected Manziel with the 22nd overall pick in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played two seasons with Cleveland before his NFL career ended. [3]
