Justin Bullock is a nephrologist and Assistant Professor of Nephrology at the University of Washington, where he treats people with kidney disease and is involved in medical education. He is also co-director of the Docs With Disabilities Initiative and has written and spoken extensively about disability, mental illness and creating safer environments in medical training. [2][4][3]
Career and work
Bullock earned his medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco, in 2019 and completed an internal-medicine residency there in 2022. He then completed a nephrology fellowship at the University of Washington in 2024 and joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor of Nephrology. [2]
His clinical work focuses on acute and chronic kidney disease, dialysis and kidney biopsy. Alongside patient care, Bullock is active in medical education and research on disability, identity and psychological safety in training environments. He also serves as co-director of the Docs With Disabilities Initiative. [2][4][3]
