Career and work
Campbell began his radio career at Northsound in Aberdeen before working at Capital Radio and joining BBC Radio 1 in 1987. He moved to BBC Radio 5 Live in 1997, where he first presented a mid-morning phone-in and later co-presented the breakfast programme for 18 years. He subsequently moved to a weekday morning phone-in built around listeners’ views and experiences on current issues. [3][5]
His television career has included hosting the UK version of Wheel of Fortune and presenting programmes including Watchdog and The Big Questions. He also co-presents ITV’s Long Lost Family with Davina McCall. [4][5]
