Andrew Johns

Andrew Johns is a former rugby league halfback who played for the Newcastle Knights, New South Wales and Australia. He won three Dally M Medals, helped Newcastle win two premierships, and was named rugby league’s eighth Immortal in 2012. [2]
Career and work
Johns spent nearly his entire first-class career with the Newcastle Knights, playing 249 premiership games for the club between 1993 and 2007. He helped Newcastle win premierships in 1997 and 2001, winning the Clive Churchill Medal as player of the match in the 2001 grand final. He also represented New South Wales in State of Origin and Australia internationally, including captaining both teams. [2]
He won the Dally M Medal three times, in 1998, 1999 and 2002, and twice received the Golden Boot as the international game’s leading player. In 2012, he was named rugby league’s eighth Immortal. [2]
