Doug Colbeth is an American technology executive who led Spyglass and Kinaxis from early-stage companies through public-market growth. He and his wife Margaret have also supported child mental-health services through the Colbeth Clinic at the University of Illinois Chicago. [3][5]
Career and work
Colbeth served as chief executive of Spyglass, an internet software company whose browser technology became part of Microsoft Internet Explorer. Spyglass went public in 1995, making it one of the early publicly traded internet software companies. [3][5]
He later became president and CEO of Kinaxis, a supply-chain software company, serving in that role from 2003 through 2015. During his tenure, Kinaxis completed its initial public offering, grew its customer base to more than 100 customers and increased annual revenue to nearly $100 million. He remained chair of the company’s board until 2018. [4][5]
